After that rant, I really don't like him anymore. Classless act by him just becaue he couldn't handle hecklers. The truth is out now and there's no way anyone believes him when he said he's not a racist
In case anyone don't know what happened.. "Michael Richards exploded in anger as he performed at a famous L.A. comedy club last Friday, hurling racial epithets that left the crowd gasping. Richards, who played the wacky Cosmo Kramer on the hit TV show "Seinfeld," appeared onstage at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood. Kyle Doss, an African-American, told TMZ he and some friends were in the cheap seats and he was playfully heckling Richards when suddenly, the comedian lost it. " Bigot.
i've seen some outtakes of the evening, but not the entire thing. what he did was stupid, lame and inexcusable, but if someone was goading him the blame needs to be spread around a bit
but as a comedian, he should be able to contain his feelings, people always heckle people on stage, but you never see them lose control...except ron artest, he's an exception
while I hate to say this, you never know what's going on in his life, maybe he found out he has cancer or his woman left him, things like that effect people and open the door for them to do stupid things sometimes
He must have been on something. Even if he were a bigot, which I'm still doubtful of, there is no way he would be dumb enough to make such inappropriate comments that would jeopordize his career. Not that he has had much of one after Seinfeld...but still. This is something his career is never going to recover from.

He has apologized for it, but I think its because of all the media attention and criticism. If he were a normal person, he never would've apologized.
it's unfortunate that this happened. In fact, i kinda liked the guy from his seinfeld days.. However, performers these days have to live up to higher standards than the common man. He may or may not be racist, but he shouldn't have an outburst like that no matter what. He also might have had a bad day, but that outburst ruined the days of many more people than he alone.
I don't think people should apologize if they don't really mean it because that just makes them look worse. And that's exactly what he did. He blew his top and tried to fix it with a half ass apology on Letterman and the Jesse Jackson radio show (which I didn't know existed). I have come to the conclusion that he really is a racist because my moms friend is african american and she was standing behind him in line for a little club and he dropped a piece of paper so when she told him "excuse me sir you dropped your paper" he yelled at her "DON'T F***ING WORRY ABOUT IT!". He could have an anger problem, but still he needs to learn some self respect because all racism does is make you look stupid. And those guys didn't look any smarter by calling him cracker. Michael is lucky they're not sueing him because they could if they wanted too, but they're just asking for an apology in person. And he hasn't even given it to them yet. [/end rant]
I have no respect for both of them if those guys are trying to use this to make a profit. They could sue for emotional distress. I wouldn't sue him because I would not sink that low to be given anything by a racist.
