Lenny Conudrum is way too difficult nowadays. Last week I got the answer literally less than 4 hours after it went online, as I was checking every 4 hours, and I still didnt get the trophy, only a measly 300 np......

Ugh, this is complicated. I came up with most of the answer myself and found the last (and likely hardest) part on the internet, but I'm not sure if it's right. (I would've never guessed the final part, anyway) If you consider 8:06 time zero, then the time elaspsed between babaa's showing up are...

    33 hrs, 57 mins
    17 hrs, 2 mins
    28 hrs, 4 mins
    13 hrs, 56 mins
    22 hrs, 56 mins

This actually fits a relatively simple pattern.

    For the hours...

    33 - 17 = 16
    28 - 13 = 15
    22 - x1 = 14

    Therefore x1 = 8.

    For the minutes...

    57 + 2 = 59
    4 + 56 = 60
    56 + y1 = 61

    Therefore y1 = 5.

Therefore, 8 hrs and 5 mins have elasped since our last babaa sighting, and I'm thinking problem solved. Hooray. So for our times elasped data, we now have.

    33 hrs, 57 mins
    17 hrs, 2 mins
    28 hrs, 4 mins
    13 hrs, 56 mins
    22 hrs, 56 mins
    8 hrs, 5 min

But there's a problem. If you add 8 hrs, 5 min to 4:01 AM (the time of the last sighting), you get 12:06 PM. But that's still Day 6. So I tried something else.

If you go back to the data and look at the hours alone again...

    33 - 17 = 16
    17 - 28 = -11
    28 - 13 = 15
    13 - 22 = -9
    22 - 8 = 14
    8 - x2 = -7

    Therefore x2 = 15

    Look at the minutes:

    57 + 2 = 59
    2 + 4 = 6
    4 + 56 = 60
    56 + 56 = 112
    56 + 5 = 61
    5 + y2 = ?

Every other sum seems to fit an obvious pattern, but 6, 112, ? essentially means nothing to me. This is where I needed the help of the internet, and as it turns out...

    The Absolute Value of (60 - 6) = 54.
    The Absolute Value of (60 - 112) = 52.

    Therefore, the Absolute Value of (60 - ?) = 50.

Of course, there's two solutions to this equaltion (? = 10, 110) which is an issue that the website didn't address. I think it's assumed that we pick ? = 10 because picking 110 would give us a y2 (minutes) value of over 60, and while that is physically possible, I think we ought to pick the value under 60 since none of the other minutes values exceeded 60. Plus, thinking about this again, the absolute value part isn't even really necessary. You could just assume the signs alternate. A (-1)^n sort of thing where n starts at 0, for those of you who've done alternating series/sequences.

Nonetheless, we get 5 + y2 = 10. Therefore y2 = 5. Recall that x2 = 15. Therefore, 15 hrs and 5 mins have elapsed since the last babaa appearance. Add those hours/mins to 12:06 PM and you get 3:11 AM.

Err, I figure I'll post this in the answer section now, but if it turns out it's not right, you can remove it. o_O

What is the largest four-digit number that can be formed by these tiles that is not evenly divisible by 9?

i came up with all the possibilities.
    ------------
    3456
    3465
    3546
    3564
    3645
    3654

    4356
    4365
    4536
    4563
    4635
    4653

    5436
    5463
    5346
    5364
    5643
    5634

    6435
    6453
    6345
    6354
    6543
    6534

but they all devide evenly by 9... any ideas?

XD, just a little math tip. To find out if a number is divisible by 9, add up all the digits and if the sum is divisible by 9, then the original number is also divisible by 9. This trick works with divisible by 3 too.

So you didn't need to permutate the digits, just add them up to see that it'll always be divisible by 9. I won't go into details as to how to solve the conundrum since the answer is already posted in the LC answers thread. :)

It seems we have a little surplus of last week's prize, so here's your second chance to try to get one!

In last week's Lenny Conundrum, the most popular submitted answer was the actual correct answer.

The second most popular submitted answer was 0.

Not quite sure about this :/
    My guess was 1.

    (The prize is r101 & worth 4mil!)

    Not sure about will's answer's.
Though i have no clue how he got it, i believe the answer is:

Never jump out and shout "boo!" Especially in front of an ornate mural.
Where would you like to go? Hopefully, somewhere away from home.
I hold in my fingers a sharp pin. To pop the balloon, it's my only hope.
My floor is covered with an orange and blue rug. Underneath, the floor is polished oak.

Leek (Last letter of each sentence) and since leek is a neopian item.

I know it looks like that, and yeah - it is a neopian item.. but don't you think that's too easy?

I know they've been making them easier lately, but I think that the whole logic (that you've no-doubt read) about the last words of each sentence in a line being scrambled pet species.

    Boo + mural = blumaroo
    go + home = moehog
    pin + hope = peophin
    skinny + ? = ?

    skinny + tuna = tuskaninny

That sounds like the out-of-the-box thinking that we're accustomed to in other conundrums..

Either answer could be right though - we'll just have to see!

1042 is correct, HOWEVER: it could also be 801.

I will post my logic in the answers section.
