    Okay, in my maths class we are studying surds, how on earth can we simplify entire surds? :S

    What exactly is the question...? You're asking too broad of a question. Just think of the square root portion of the number as "x". For addition and subtraction, the "x" has to be the same. For multiplication and division, just multiply and divide the numbers and add the squareroot to the answer. Just remember to break up the square root portion into factors with at least one being a square root if possible, then move it out of the square root. I can help more if you go more indept to the problem you have.
