A few months ago, I was on my guild account which doesn't have premium and noticed some really odd adverts. Mainly, an ad for breast enlargement and one for what was basically an 'escort agency'... They have had complaints made against them for dodgy ads. And allowing viruses through on them too.

Yeah I got the hentai one also. I'm just wondering if TNT just randomly allows ads or something.

I imagine there's supposed to be some kind of system whereby the ads are checked before being allowed, but you know what tnt are like.. Is anything ever done properly on the site?
Having said that, most people just ignore the ads and probably don't notice what they are advertising. So maybe if a company offers to pay enough money, they will put it up for a week or so until they get too many complaints. They can always say afterwards that it was a mistake, but how do we know that?

I think Google was in charge of the ads, but from my understanding TNT is able to control which types are shown and blocked.

I've seen the breast enlargement and the adult friend finder ones. I figure that TNT probably just has a rotating ad account with someone, be it google or anyone else - and they probably don't really know what ads appear until they've started coming up.

I had a google adsense account for a while on my old website and that happened to me a lot. Once you see the ad, and can get the domain for the ad - you can go into your account and block it. But if you don't have the URL for it, there's not really anything you can do.

wow I don't think I ever saw that one. I don't really pay attention to adds, I really dislike them though because they constantly try to put cookies on my computer. I don't want hentai cookies on my computer!

yeah, but the thing is neopets ask your age when they sign up dont they.
so if ads were not suitable for the younger ones, then they could blcok them acording to what age you put in.

of course, how many people actually put in their right age... hehe

still, neopets did try a bit!
