The following is a warning which has been issued to you by an administrator or moderator of this site. please don't spam for point. - warning ----- Alright, well I don't exactly understand why it has to be for points. Seriously, I post alot when I'm bored, whats wrong with that? I have like 3k+ posts on other forums, I can link you to my profile if you want x.x; ----- The following is a warning which has been issued to you by an administrator or moderator of this site.This is a warning regarding the following post made by you: viewtopic.php?f=3&p=208950#p208950 . dont double post ----- Look at the time difference -.-; I just clicked the reply button at the top, I didn't even see that I made the last post. geez. Atleast let me know before I get a warning... ----- Overall, I think that's kind of messed up, seeing as in with 3k+ posts, on other forums I've only even got 1 warning total. Atleast give a legit reason to me if you're going to give me a warning >.>; Either way, I think both of those warnings are basically the same thing. I don't think I should have got either, but if anything, it should only have been one -.-; /rant
Nothing, but when you post something like "ouch xD" on a board that has points given for posts is spam. I've seen you do it a few times, so I think the warning is justified. And to be honest, it doesn't matter what you do on other forums. Unless its scamming it doesn't really translate across. If you want to post to chat, go to spam corner.
Posting for points means Your posting to get points to buy our programs, If you read the rules, you'll Find All this Out. We arent like any Other Forums. You cant post 3000 Times a Day.
i think they are alot more strict here bc post are how you get points for programs and spam/double posting are ways to get points more quickly and a warning doesn't effect you in anyway that i know (i know so many is a temp ban) of so its no really big deal if you have one warning.. *i got same warning as you did for same thing and its no big deal*
This forum is much more strict than other forums because we make you earn the programs. If you don't have anything constructive to say, its probably best not to say it, lest it be marked as spam. Posting stuff like or isn't really neccessary. That kinda posting gets marked as spam. Even if you're not after points, the majority of posters are and you have to see where we're coming from. And as for double-posting, don't worry about it too much if it was on accident. Warnings are just warnings after all, not a big deal as long as you don't accumulate too many of them.
Yea, I have three, which is why I'm complaining. I understand that you earn points for posting, but I mean, I like to post, and no one even suggested the spam board to me. Just jumped straight to a warning, without even giving a suggestion first. I mean, I have three warnings now, and it's not even for being a troublemaker x.x;
Erm.. It use to be a 3day suspension So we added warnings before that. Now you want a warning, for a warning for a suspension for a perma ban. how about no WARNING IS JUST THAT! A little slap on the wrist, a little shout If you carry on suspensions will follow, warnings mean nothing.
Well, you gotta use your brain a little bit here. If you get a warning for spam, you probably shouldn't spam in the main boards anymore. If there's a spam corner board, you should probably post your spam there. And you'd think you'd be more careful after the first and second warnings. Sorry if I sound mean, I'm just trying to point out some stuff.
Oh I thought the warnings were like permanant little thingys or something x.x; I still don't like getting warnings >=[ EDIT: Well, you gotta use your brain a little bit here. If you get a warning for spam, you probably shouldn't spam in the main boards anymore. If there's a spam corner board, you should probably post your spam there. And you'd think you'd be more careful after the first and second warnings. Sorry if I sound mean, I'm just trying to point out some stuff.[/quote] Well, I don't intentionally spam. You'll see in alot of my posts that I have "EDIT:" there for a reason. I edit it if I think the post would be "spamming" x.x; As for the spam corner board, I didn't even know it existed T_T; EDIT2: The following is a warning which has been issued to you by an administrator or moderator of this site.This is a warning regarding the following post made by you: viewtopic.php?f=6&p=197110#p197110 . Please do not spam - answers only That was in March... Everyone was posting in the topic, so I posted too -_-; (No, if everyone jumped off a bridge/roof, I wouldn't do it too...) But seriously, it seems most of the awesome, easy going mods have yet to enter this community o.o;
Okay I'm not going to bother sugarcoating anything or being nice like chilly or zero. And know that I have only the utmost respect for you, and I'm pretty nice as far as modding goes. And you do sound like a reasonable guy. But HONESTLY. You need to realize that these warnings were given for valid reasons and that they're not going to be revoked. If you already know this and just wanted to complain, then fine. You were given two warnings because they were for two different posts; two different breaking of the rules. I'll accept that you weren't point spamming, which is fine. It's great, and I applaud you for it. But you still can't spam, and spamming means making useless posts which contribute nothing to the topic. Like others said before, if you want to chat, you can post in the spam corner. Or you can use the chatbox. I think it's a bit of a stretch to believe that after 140 posts in less than two weeks you still don't know your way around to the spam corner, but I suppose it's possible. And about the whole answers-only thing, you said it yourself: If everyone else was jumping off a bridge would you? Just because many others were breaking the rules doesn't mean you should or can break the rules too. You already admitted that you had read the topic title, yet you posted anyways. So you very well knew and know that you were breaking the rules, and yet you still complain about getting a warning? Lastly, like chilly said, warnings are just a slap on the wrist. If you accidentally double posted or spammed outside the spam corner or gravedug, you'll get a warning. These warnings are so you'll be more careful and won't make the same mistakes again. It's really not that hard to avoid warnings. You just have to follow the rules. There's plenty of members who have close to or over a thousand posts and have 0 warnings.
First off, I'd like to say that I know they won't be revoked, I was just complaining. Oh, and also, that says March, not May. I've been a member here for alot longer than 2 weeks =/ SoC just changed my name (in my sig), because I was iced on my main in neopets anyways, so it doesn't matter anymore. It was just a cover-up name. As for the first warning, with the posting in the topic where I wasn't supposed to post, I know I shouldn't have posted there, which is why I didn't even complain about that one in the first place. I just posted it... Just to kind of show that I have too many warnings for my likings. It's a shame that I'll never be one of those 1k+, no warning posters now D:
Mmkay, sorry on the march thing then. It's late here and I'm probably delerious from this ridiculous heat. And I really do appreciate that you're being grounded and rational and not losing your temper.
xD It's cool, tends to happen to me alot, too. It's burning up in Southern California >_< It doesn't help that we keep getting power outages, meaning the fans keep going off. When that happens, I just go on my bike and go off some jumps (It's kinda hard though, with this heat. If I fell, I probably wouldn't get back up...). But yea, I appreciate you pointing that out :O Some mods just walk around, acting like they're the king shit all the time. That bugs the hell out of me.
Not to get off topic, but I totally feel your pain. Some giant power outage is like half a mile away from my house, and seventy five grand people just lost their electricity. Bahahasucksforthem. And yeah, anyways, so issue resolved?
I'm probably one of those people xD Except, the power keeps going on and off. It seems to be pretty stable now, though. Yea, issue resolved. Lock if you feel necessary.
