It goes in order like this from lowest to highest:

    -Depressed
    -Very unhappy
    -Miserable
    -Unhappy
    -Content
    -Happy
    -Cheerful
    -Extremely happy
    -Joyful
    -Delighted!

how is miserable less bad than very unhappy? It should even be worse than depressed
    that neopets...
I didn't even know they had so many tiers below content. You have to suck pretty bad at neopets/not care about your pets at all to let that happen

I've never even worried what my pet is... I don't even feed them most of the time..

Neolodge when I remember or can be bothered... but thats rare.

Nothing happens if you ignore them anyway :p

Yea it does actually. It's a very rare RE and if you're pet is sad it can turn blue. I'm not sure if there's any other ones like that. :p

Speaking of random color change...this one time (a long long time ago) I was using a refresher on Neopets, and at one point I must have had a random event that changed my pets color to invisible...it took me weeks to figure out why I couldn't see my pet!!! I was freaking out thinking that it was my computer that wasn't loading the image, but then eventually I decided to try a paint brush and that brought the image back! Duuuuuuh!

Oh yea, that's the other one I had heard of before. It's pretty funny... glad it's never happened to me! :p I think there's also a red RE but I could be wrong...

I would have thought that the active neopet crying would guilt most people into keeping them fed at least. I try to keep all of my pets happy, even on my sides

ya, refresh with toy is pretty quick and easy, and it's comforting knowing that your imaginary pets have no reason to resent you

Mine is always delighted and i don't really do anything to make it happy, i'm not sure why it's always so happy.

What I don't get is what makes pets sad

Some of my pets have been on 'happy' for years, and my active seems to become depressed a lot. o_e
