My dog had puppies...

The happy part is one is a girl and two are boys
The sad part three of them died...
I feel so bad...
even thought i did what i could do for them...
But i did manage to save one pup.
The three that died one was deformed
the second was still born(meaning it had been dead a long time before it was born)
and the last wasnt breathing and i did everything i could think of to revive her
But nothing worked...
Me sad...and kinda happy at the same time
they are jack russels btw

Aww, that's so sad. At least you did all you could to help. I'd probably just freak out and cry or something.

they were just born last night so they still mooch lol.
And yea i even did cpr on two of them

 

jack russel puppies are probably the cutest things ever... @_@ Sorry to hear about the three that died. Things could have gone worse though. Last time a dog of mine got prego, she died after giving birth. We kept the runt. Turned out so much like her mother.

 

Did the breeder do it? Or did you have to do it?

It's sad three died, but at least you have three.

as for the not breathing one, did you try sticking you finger up it's nostrils? That's what they do with baby calves when they are born not breathing and it gets them to breathe But at least you have 3 jack russel puppies i love jack russels they are the cutest dogs ever! i had one ever since i was born who just recently died at the age of 16... but she was always so funny to watch and was a really good dog

Jack Russel noses aren't quite the same as bovine noses. I don't think that you could get a finger up there even when the Jack is fully grown. =/

Was the mother rather young or old? If that was the case, it explains why you lost such a percentage of the litter. I haven't whelped a litter in a few years, but I do know from experience that there's often not a lot that you can do.
Congrats on the new babies, though. Three is an interesting number to take care of - to be honest, I don't think that I've ever had less than eight pups at a time, though I have had litters of as few as three. =)

I did everything bymeself the breeder talked me through it. Luck would have it she was up at 2 in the morning

This was her second litter and she is mid-age. Her first litter was perfect 8 pups and and all healthy...dont know what happened this time
