So, I did my first full vector image for a layout I'm working on for magnetic cheese It took me a while, but I'm pretty proud of it so I wanted to post it. Yes, I did it from scratch but with an image as a guide.
You should only see the positive things if a person says she/he took a while and made it from scratch. Anyway, he's half-right. The potion isn't quite 3D B)
yeah I was havin trouble with the potion and the cauldron. I tried doing them as vector shapes, but it wasn't looking right....I might work a little more on it.
Whoa amazing! I love it. a few things: -the lines aren't very clean (they're a bit fuzzy) -as josh said, the potion and caludron stuff is very flat (don't use blends/fades/gradients with vectors) -the shadow line on the hat is oddly bumpy. Furthermore, it's too wide and should be moved over to the right. aaand that's about it. maaad props yo.
No you shouldn't just see the positive things. If someone is asking for comments you don't just half ass it b/c they spent a lot of time. Constructive criticism is an important thing to artist. I think it looks great, but like everyone says the potion and cauldron need a little tweaking to blend in more.
Fails? You couldn't have put it a better way? Like saying what part of the cauldron and potion isn't correct? Criticsim is supposed to help people and the best way to do that is to point out exactly what the flaw is, not just say that "this and that doesn't look good". Your comment fails. But I do agree, the left side of the cauldron's line that aligns with the liquid that's in it isn't symmetrical to that on the other side. I didn't notice the potion at first, but it's true that also this might need some work. You probably made too many "dots", I know I always do. And i'ts quite hard to bend the lines between these in a good way, if you have too many of them. Also, the shade on the "ring" of the hat is a bit wrong. But it's a really good work for a first time. Did you use illustrator?
wow, i knew you were good with graphics but wow. Its really good for have been done from scratch. a few things then and there, but none the less, its really good. mad props
I wish there were more topics like this in this category. I saw very talented people but unfortunately they don't show any activity
oh ok that clears it up but what programs do you use for it? cuz it seems like a good skill to have lol or it justs looks fun to mess around with
