I felt I needed a way to voice my opinions on what's gone on in the past 24 hours. Since this is ALL going down publically (and well, neither Ricky nor Expon have even PMed me about my demotion yet), I felt I should continue that lovely trend. So here's the thing. I'm totally not bitter about being taken off admin. I'm really not. I think Zer0 is going to make a great admin, and I admit that I totally didn't live up to the expectations of me. However, I am bitter about the way things went down. Consider: -Over the past 6 months or so that I've been admin, I've been in and out of the hospital and rehab. I've barely had internet access, and I've tried my best to keep up with the forum. -I didn't even have a computer for like 3 months, when the one I was using died. -I received nothing from either Ricky or Expon discussing my responsibilities as Administrator. No discussion ever occurred about what I should be working on. -I received absolutely no feedback on how I was doing as admin. Nothing to say great job on suchandsuch, and nothing to say "oh well, step up your game in terms of blahblahblah". -I didn't even get any warning about my demotion. I found out over TEXT MESSAGE from another Neofriends.net user. -I still haven't even received a PM from either forum administrator. I've been publicly humiliated in a sticky thread for god's sake, but no personal communication at all. Honestly, I'm really disappointed about how it all went down. To be 100% honest, if someone (Ricky or Expon.. and I'm not even sure what Expon thinks of all of this, considering I talked to him yesterday about admin stuff, and he said NOTHING) had PMed me, or MSNed me (I'm ALWAYS online pretty much) asking me to STEP DOWN in favor of Zer0, i'd have been FINE with it. I just wanted to let everyone know how absolutely disappointed I am about how the situation was handled. And since I'm not even going to receive any private messaging about it (clearly!), I'm going to do this publicly, as Ricky wants. I'm still going to continue to serve Neofriends.net as a Moderator, but I will do so with a heavy heart. And Ricky, or anyone else, if you delete this, it's your personal choice, but I feel that I have as much right to post this as Ricky does to badmouth me. Honest to god, I'm in tears right now. I really don't know what to expect any more. I feel like I might get De-modded for this or something. I hope that anyone who'd do that would have the decency to discuss it with me before hand.

Hallandale, considering the fact that i may be only a level one and be ignored by half this place, I can voice how i feel about situations and posts regarding a topic or happening. You are honestly in my mind completely correct. This situation was handled very poorly, and yeah it didn't only bother you, as it bothered me as well. You have valid points about everything. And I'm glad you aren't freaking out, I'm glad you;re just not going to make any drama or anything about this and stay calm as a mod. But the way it was handled wasn't very good. They had a point in which their eyes(admins) was a good one,. and in other members as well, But still. Humiliation. It's human nature to hate it and not like it, obviously. In conclusion, I agree with your statement(s) and good luck with everything, and I hope they PM you or something soon dude.
Well you have every right to say what you feel. For the record hally, I was one of those people to felt that you would be more suited as a mod than an admin. Admins to all the dirty work to keep the site running and they really do need a background in coding. Mods however, just help people around the site and keep watch over it. I just didn't realize it would turn out so...messy and I agree with you that it really would have been nicer and more considerate if you and ricky had like a chat over msn about it before hand instead of it just being thrown in your face. <3
I agree completely with what you have said here, Hally. I had a hunch that this was the reason that you were so upset, and I believe I voiced it in the chatbox while Ricky was online (before you made this thread, I believe)...so this thread shouldn't be much of a surprise to him... I dunno man, shit sucks, but at least you are okay with the changes. Things could have been a lot worse if you actually were additionally upset about the demotion itself. Keep on keepin on, we all still love you
Okay. You're right on most of the parts, but I don't think everything I've done about this is wrong. It was handled very poorly, of course. This is right, but I am a 16 year-old boy who has no experience with official ways of demotions/etc. I apologize for not advising you and the lack of communication between us. However, I think I didn't really do a bad this making it public because my intention was to encourage you to work hard to get the admin position back. I have sent you a PM now with all the "official" (or w/e you consider them) details, as you asked on MSN. I will also post this on the announcements thread.
