So.. Yeah.. I'm basically tired of Avast. I'm not worried about the cost or anything, I'm just looking for good AntiVirus software. I'm running a Windows Vista Home Premium, does anyone have any recommendations? I'm considering Norton, but I wanna see what everyone else thinks

Personally, I wouldn't get one at all. AV really slows down your computer.
Instead, I would scan all (or at least potentially suspicious) files you download with this: http://www.virustotal.com/

Just don't do sketchy stuff on the internet and you'll be fine. :)

Still. Computers, you never know. Sometimes a little mindless precaution creates a lot of problems, depending on how much you know about computers.

Anyways, I would recommend AVG 8.0, the free one. Many people get it mistaken for the full version but 8.0 freeware has been working great for me.

Thirdinated. I've been using AVG for over a year and a half. It's a nice interface and is quite easy to manage.
