From Today's News.... New feature on the way! - In the next few days, we'll be adding Facebook "Like" functionality to parts of Neopets. (Specifically, the homepage, the Games Room, and a few other games.) What this means is that, whenever you see the Facebook "thumbs up" button, you can click on it to like the content on that page. There will also be a link to the Neopets Facebook page in the footer so you can join our shenanigans if you want. If you don't have a Facebook account, or just don't want to use the feature, you can turn it off in your preferences. You also won't see any Facebook functionality if you're under 13. For more info, check out the FAQ. (Be sure to read the question about discussing Facebook here on Neopets!)Discuss!
I don't know why they would do this.... are they trying to gear away from making Neopets a kids website? Are they going back to targeting college students? If so, that would be pretty neat...
....digital age ftw? ;-; Aagh. To me this just seems bizarre - to think that fb didn't exist before 2005, and now it permeates into so many aspects of life. >.>
Yeah...I won't be doing that. I wonder if there's any incentive to click like at all. Unless you're a kid, you won't want a notification that says you like Neopets. A lot.
hahah yeah...i'm gonna have to turn that feature off in case i accidentally click like bc i don't want anyone knowing i play neopets... but if they went back to targeting older users, that would be incredible
Exactly the same reasoning as me. The only person who knows is the partner.. and she doesn't care because I can sell my stuff for real money Don't think others would understand that as much.
This doesnt make sense,no teens/college kids or older are going to affiliate with FB, and kids arent aloud on FB...
