Based on the question... to me it sounds like prime numbers... so... based on this... it took a guess. Number of primes in 1000 = 168 this is only a guess... I'm not very good at these things and chances are I"m wrong... but maybe it'll help someone get the right answer. The Stained Glass Neopets V2 Window is only worth 4200 NP's anyway
hey okay, i believe the answer is 300... sorry if I led anyone astray with my answer of 500. i had the right idea in that 1000 is a factor of 10, so you could just figure it out with 10 and mulitply the result by 100 to get the answer, but with me having a brain fart I came up with 5 open x 100 instead of 3. Some other cat who posted below used the same solution but when he used 10 windows he came up with the correct answer of 3 open x 100 = 300. Of course, the whole premise may still be wrong.... but if you think it's right then 300 is the answer.
lol ok you make me laugh i hope 500 is right cuz i guessed it cuz time is running out for the first 250 ppl
i think it is 300!!!!! if it is this means i get it right ill get the credit for getting the right answer here!!!! +rep me if it is lol
no watch x's are closed and o's are open ill do with 10 rather than 1000... Start with xxxxxxxxxx all closed oooooooooo (#1) all opened oxoxoxoxox (#2) every second is closed oxxxoooxxx (#3) every third is CHANGED to the opposite oxxoooooxx (#4) every fourth is CHANGED to the opposite oxxoxoooxo (#5) etc. oxxoxxooxo (#6) etc. oxxoxxxoxo (#7) etc. oxxoxxxxxo (#8 ) etc. oxxoxxxxoo (#9) etc. oxxoxxxxox (#10) 3 open*100=300
the answer is 31....here's how to figure it out... I made a 20 window sample...0 is closed and 1 is open... Code (Text): 00000000000000000000 11111111111111111111 10101010101010101010 10001110001110001110 10011111001010011111 10010111011010111110 10010011011110111010 10010001011111111010 10010000011111101010 10010000111111101110 10010000101111101111 10010000100111101111 10010000100011101111 10010000100001101111 10010000100000101111 10010000100000001111 10010000100000011111 10010000100000010111 10010000100000010011 10010000100000010001 10010000100000010000 on the last line...1,4,9,16 are open...which are perfect squares... so the answer is 31...since 31^2 is 961...the highest square within 1000...quite simple and no...you do NOT multiply...it is not an arithmetic or geometric sequence...
It's nice to know that my friend got the right answer ^.^ I hope I sent in the answer in the first 250
I got a silver trophy a couple weeks ago... It's easier to get it obviously if the question is more challenging.
