So the time has come that I really need to get myself a new modem / router.

I currently have a NetComm NB6Plus4W - It's a few years old now and had been awesome to me.

I love the fact I can change/set a DMZ host and port forward so my PS3 has open Nat etc.

My internet is dropping in and out all the time and according to my provider its not a line problem (Although I think part of it is...).

So I want to get a new router/modem.

Can anyone suggest a really good one that's currently out, that will allow me to fiddle and change DMZ host / Port Forwarding stuff. My friend got one recently which has limited adjustable settings.. I'd hate that.

This is the start of my new awesome computer ;)

    Hey Junior,

I have a Linksys WRT400N that is simultaneous dual-band and has port forwarding, DMZ tweaking, a bunch of security settings, and a lot of other stuff. So far, it's been extremely reliable with excellent advanced settings. The only thing I would say is that it's range isn't very large, but it works for my house.

See Wifi does not REALLY bother me...

The only things running wifi in my house is my mobile phones (And soon my TV's).

MY Laptop and PS3's, which are my main uses for internet, are all wired into the modem with no problems.

Same, my computers are all wired but I still spent a bit more and bought a wireless router.../shrugs
There was some offer with a mail-in rebate so I took it x)

I don't need wifi for my iPhone anyway and if I really needed it I'd just walk to school but that has only ever happened like once out of 3 years lol.
