Not bad. Though I think all the wavy lines and stuff on the left distract you from seeing the actual Metaknight. It could also use a boarder around it. =]

 

lol really? you think the wavy lines are distracting lol i'll have to go get mad at my bro know cuz he told me to make the opacity low XD

 

Better, but the boarder is huge Just a 1 pixel black boarder will do.

 

hmm i never really got why you would do such small borders XD i can never see them but there ya go a 1 pixel border

 

Its there to give a contrast to the forum background (which is normally white or a light color) It gives it a more professional appeal. You dont wan't a giant boarder cause its distracting, "noobish", and plain doesn't look good. It gives an impression that you're trying to cover up something with a large thick boarder.

I like the second one you made and V2. You can actually focus on metaknight rather than those lines. But the pink thing doesn't look like it should be there. To me it looks like a puddle of pink goo...

I like both of the edit ones I don't think they need borders they look nice without them.
