I have around $300, but I can't decide to either buy the DSi or wait for the release of the PSP Go?

Depends on what games you like. DSi will have more of a variety of games, but if you absolutely LOVE a game, or a few, from the PSP platform, get the PSP Go. My choice would probably be PSP Go. DSi's market is targeted towards the younger crowd.

I'm leaning towards the DSi, definitely. The PSP Go is just Sony's last ditch effort at providing a decent market for their handheld games. The games for the DSi will, yes, be aimed towards a younger crowd, but still. They're designed and are naturally better games that will play well. The only reason I'm thinking about the PSP Go is because of the new Kingdom Hearts game that's coming out pretty soon.

I like the DSi, a bit more of an interesting piece of machinery, more diversity in games should mean greater longevity in entertainment value. PSP GO isn't much of an upgrade though its not 'supposed' to be an upgrade from the other PSP's. Anyone else feel like handheld manufacturers kind of limped by with the new handhelds? If you have a decent phone that can play games ok-ish I'd try hold out till the next generation of handhelds comes out whenever that is..

The Psp Go! comes out October 1st...Its said to be about $250.
Im buying it for my birthday ;p
The only thing that is lame is there's no more umd-disk, just all digital downloads.
The positive is that it comes with 16GB MEMORY.
SO if you dont have an mp3 player/lost/stolen/etc, this could also be used as one!
Plus you can use Skype with online internet!
    SO FTW, PSP GO!

Definitely depends on if you have an affinity for nintendo or not... The DSi seems like it would be cool, but if you want to use it for other multimedia applications, I would probably go with PSP... I have an old FAT and slim and love'm, but the Go looks cool too. I'm sure both will be hacked to some extent, but I love the CFW on the PSPs

One thing to consider is that, upon the release of the PSP Go, many of the older versions will be traded in/sold to gaming stores or on ebay, along with tons of UMDs since the new "Go" will offer downloadable games - which means you'll be able to pick up an older PSP and tons of games very cheap. I'd say for that reason, get the DS now and wait for the PSP Go to come out, then snap up a cheap older version.

That said, if you already have a DS Lite, it's definitely not worth buying a DSi. The differences and improvements are minimal, most of them are useless, and the online apps/downloadable features aren't particularly great - plus you lose the GBA slot, which is a pretty big loss.

IMO, if you have neither, wait for the new versions to come out and for the prices on pre-owned older versions to plummet, then snap older versions of both for the same price as one of the new versions.

I am more towards the psp because I like the types of games on it better... More rpg type of games and games that you can play for longer periods of times while DS requires a lot of stylist and don't really like that too much. Just my thoughts though I have been out of consol for a long time.

The DSi has a more wider range of games available. The only down side to it is that it can't play GBA games.
And the PSP is more for hardcore gamers.
