What is your oppinion about this fact? Through all those riddles there was 1 chance in a million to just write something so detailed through the language they used then to describe something like this.

Also, he was a mathematician and made important sketches of the first helicopter, first tank and other important things (though they don't work only based on those sketches) . -->

Could you edit your message to include a link to this theory?
I'll edit my post to comment on the topic after that. :)

Re: Leonardo Da Vinci predicted the falling of World Trade Cente

I saw a history channel show on Nostradamus predicting the World Trade Center disaster. Seemed like a pretty big stretch to me, and frankly I think it's BS. Hell, I could predict that a bomb will go off in a major city, kill lots of people, and hurt a nation, and probably be right because I'm sure it'll happen sometime in the future, but that doesn't mean there's anything noteworthy about my prediction.

Precisely. I don't think he was a "seer" in the traditional sense, but he had enough knowledge to make educated predictions about disasters that may happen in the future. Of course, his original prediction intent would probably have differed from what actually happened, but I'm sure it was close enough.

This was taken from Nostradamus' book of prophecy:
If he was referring to the 9/11 disaster, 2 years and 2 months off? Not a bad guess. It sounds pretty convincing, but the next sentence makes it confusing. I doubt he was talking about Genghis Khan.
His prophecies are ambiguous enough to infer different historical events from it, but I can't see the point of prophecy if you can only "guess" what event it was pointing to after the event happened. Maybe if Nostradamus saw the actual even he could have given some sketches of the 9/11 disaster? Possibly more detail to stop it from happening? Or perhaps, since he was linked with occultism he intended it to be that way. And he had several thousand prophecies. We are yet to hear from most of them, and they'll be there for as long as we hold onto them.So for any event that happens, there is no doubt some obscure prophecy to link it to.
    Here's my prophecy!
    It's not exactly rocket surgery

Nah, prophecies have always been really vague like horoscopes or just 100% wrong. All the so-called seers need is rhetorical skills and good knowledge about history and human behavior.

oooh i feel really smart right now :)
technically he was talking about september. you see the gregorian calendar was created in 1582, about 18 years after he died. so when he lived, september was the seventh month. just putting that out there. so he was only two years off in that case. but i think it is way too vague to mean anything

There are tons of ambiguous prophecies.

For example, Plato and Atlantis, although not strictly a prophecy.

No, he didn't. Not at all. Never, ever. He had a wonderful imagination and in his later years he had fits of "discoveries" in which he had "discovered" a lot of things. Much of his theory has been scientifically studied and examined, if you want a basic example of this - watch myth busters.

I think the helecopter he had sketched.. but other also did before him..

    EDIT: Please do not gravedig
