I've said Oh-Ten for two thousand and ten for awhile now, but people look at me weird. They're all like "oh ten? wtf" To me though.. isn't the year just two-oh-ten? When you say "ten" it doesn't sound like you're referring to a year. I say "Oh-Ten" because people know I'm talking about a year. I blame weezer: Lyrics from "Trippin down the freeway" So my question basically is.. is saying "Oh-ten" weird? have you heard people say it? What do you say? Thanks!
I wouldn't say it's weird. Most people just say it full "2 thousand and ten". I'd understand if someone say oh ten.
Oh-ten would sound weird to me xD I always just say ten, but idk if it's because it sounds different in Danish. But I wouldn't say 010 in english either..
We've said Oh-nine, oh-eight, etc, for 9 years. It's a way of shortening it syllabicly(sp?). Twenty-ten is three syllables. oh-ten is two.
Yeah, I say two thousand ten too. To me, it just sounds weird if someone says "o-ten". Twenty-ten works too... but still not as normal as "two thousand ten".
