I don't like it. I DO like how the words reflects somewhat of what it means... But I just don't like the style/look of the siggy. (no real reason either sorry )
ya i didn't really have a final goal on this one, i just added layer by layer randomly... not even sure on it myself, but i want a sig that i made myself even though charlies is awesome
I think what puts me off about it is the font. It's kind of plain and too skinny lol. Maybe "fall" should be in a thicker font like it has some weight to it so it's falling. Also I don't like the colors... well the font color at least. It's kind of bright and an eyesore. =X Let me just add I'm not trying to be mean though lol. I do like the effects in the background behind the text.
thanks for the input, dont worry i take the criticism well, im always trying to improve my graphics i see what you mean with the font, i didnt really try things out with the text just positioned it and used whatever font it was currently on, maybe i should mess with it a bit suggestions for a color i should use for the font?
Just my two cents . The font and color's too contrasty and painful for me in the eyes. Maybe try something more mellow, a techy sort that fades/blends into the sig slightly. The warrior/axe guy sig you have in your sig is really epic though.
Maybe you can use a more "jagged" font, and perhaps change the color of the text to a color that's not in the background?
Sorry if my suggestions sound amateurish! I have no experience with graphic designing and I'm not sure what my suggestions would actually look like, but maybe you can try something that looks like one of these fonts (the ones in the "destroyed" category)? There are quite a lot of suitable ones, I think. http://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=109 Maybe this? http://www.dafont.com/a-trip-to-hell-and-back.font or this? http://www.dafont.com/broken15.font I just think that maybe you can go with a more angular font, instead of the current one which looks a little too smooth and curly. Maybe you can also make a light patch (like what you have in your current sig) or dark patch on your background? That way you can use black or white as the font color? (Or maybe you can just make the entire background darker...)
Hmm, I guess the font doesn't work so well with such a colorful background... Now it looks like some kind of graffiti... I guess you might have to make the background darker and more "smokey" in order for the font to work. Or you can go for a graffiti look, but then that doesn't really work with this background either. Sorry for rambling on, but maybe you can make the background a little plainer. Right now there seems to be some kind of water ripple effect on the left, and some kind of glare effect on the right. Maybe it would be easier to find a font that fits if you only kept on of these two effects?
It's not the text that's the problem, it's the sig itself. Too much going on with no focal point. All I see is just noise. Take one render make that your focal point and then build around it using others
I like it's final form, I'd give it a 8 out of 10. reasons: - it's messy but shiny and very metalic - waterish reflection in left + bits and parts of some random crystal formation in the right - the text looks cool, it kinda fits. You can improve the siggy by adding some random radioactive sign somewhere in the background, not on top but between the layers to draw some attention from the messy stuff like Charlie said! <3 :yup:
