Last night was the Academy Awards. What did you guys think about the winners? I think that Wall-e should have won best film. At least it got best animated film, though.
WALL-E wasn't even nominated for best picture...that was probably one of the biggest nomination snubs this year... It was an okay show, I didn't watch it much because the Duke vs. Wake Forest game was on at pretty much the same time...but from what I saw it seemed okay. Slumdog ran away with the show, which makes things kinda boring. I guess I'll watch that movie tonight to see if it lives up to the hype :/
I didn't watch it since it was aired all night here and I had school :'D I'm watching highlights right now. By the way, does anyone know if Heath won anything? 0:
yeah . wow, he did ? ^^; that's so great. isn't it only the second time since '77 or something that a person got an oscar after he died? 0o
Yeah, that was only the second post-humous award ever given by the academy. The first was to some guy whos name I don't remember for Best Actor. He died something like 2 months before the Oscars. Heath won Best Supporting Actor.
Aw, I'm glad he got it. He did such a great job in tdk Ö and I'm sure he would've won it, death or alive. just watched the parents and sister accepting the oscar on youtube.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMQ4U-x8UPI
He looked AWESOME as Joker and would have been so much better if he could have continued his carreer. But alas, it was not to be. xD
yea wasnt too bad....no surprises really + everyone knew heath ledger was gonna win that award... otherwise I dont find the academy awards that entertaining
the only thing i cared about this uear for the Oscars was Heath nomination. Im so glad he won the way he portrayed Joker was arguably the best comic book villian performance or any performance in a comic book movie.
I totally agree. He was ah-mazing. And it's NOT because he's dead. I would still think the same of him. Just sad he died, because this would be soo good for his career.. and there would've been so many good movies with him >.<
Yea he really did do a great job, I would say the best joker in any batman movie ever made. Played the role so well that he creeped me out and it just a movie (and not even a scary one! XD) Then again that was the best batman movie ever made, so i guess that should be expected. And i really think it was because of heath legder's performance. Amazing actor and it is really sad that he passsed. O well atleast he got an award, just sucks cause the next one will have some lame joker again and the batman movie will go back to being lame... -_-
