A debit card is money that you have put on the card yourself and you can use it online.

Basically a credit card but its your own money. Not borrowed.

    Sorry if im confusing you..

Actually no you don't need one hooked up. Create an Australian Paypal account then you have a spend limit and can accept and send USD without linking your bank details to it... Just an idea ;)

if you didn't have a bank account you could always find a website that sells prepaid re-loadable visa cards, or you can just buy a visa gift card with a certain amount on it. They send it to your address. And if the site lets you buy it with paypal you should have no problem reloading it. I've found plenty of sites that you can buy stuff with paypal.

P.S. I don't have anything connected to my US based account...lol...

Hm, Australian Paypal seems much better. Are there any drawbacks to it?

I'm Australian, so I use it and I don't know of any drawbacks. I beleive the spending limit is either $1,500 or $2,500 before you will need either a new account or to verify it. (more than US which is $0?). Can't you verify paypal with a prepaid credit card number though? That'd sort all the problems out :)

No, I meant they can buy one online and have it shipped to their house if they want to spend the money in their account. ^_^
