Oh and before you start > If you're not linking a bank account to it make an Australian Account. That way you can use the gift option to send/receive money because we have a higher limit than US users for unlinked accounts :D

sorry for the GD. but i think that this is appropriate.

i have an account linked to my paypal already. how do i pay in gift option?

and apart from transferring from my paypal to my bank account, is there any other way to withdraw $ from my paypal?

    Click the Send Money link

Punch in all their details (Email address, amount, currency etc.)

You will see three selections below, goods, services, ebay item. Above that is another tab that says personal. Click personal.

Now you will have different options, one of them being gift. Select gift and ta-da!

As for transferring to bank account. The only other way would be to find a place that lets you purchase online credit cards, and then transferring the credit card money into your bank? If that works? I don't know sorry.

Or just buy the stuff you want online.. Or gift cards for stores etc.

For the gift option, click send money on the top bar thing. Type in the email of the person and the amount... then there's a box to choose the reason for sending. Click the Personal tab and select the Gift option and click continue...

And yes you can withdraw your money by requesting a check but there's a small fee if you do that. You can also withdraw money by requesting a PayPal Debit card which you can use whenever you have money in your PayPal account... just use the PayPal Debit Card at any ATM or any establishment to withdraw/spend the money. (I'm not 100% sure about the Debit Card though as i've never used that method)

edit: JUNIOR I HATE YOU FOR ANSWERING BEFORE ME. :back:

...I think some won't let you use gift unless the account is verified?

I don't knwo exactly. I knwo for a fact an Australian Paypal account works beautifully, and you have a rather good spending limit without having to verify the account. Good for receiving online money, which you can transfer in bulk to your main to withdraw etc.

Had the same problem, singapore. Created the account under my Singapore address (yep, from the same country as you :D), but didn't work. Tried US accounts with fake addresses, fake Singapore addresses, etc. Created about 6 US/Singapore accounts but couldn't use the gift option!

Until I heard (from Junior) that Aussie accounts allow you to use the gift option without links to bank accounts, so I created an Aussie account and everything works beautifully now XD

It's instant... Unless they use an E-Cheque etc.

However the gift option IS instant.
