I need to look up more information on Animal Control ,in various places, because I thought they took them to shelters or something.
Sorry to tell you this, but 4 million cats and dogs are killed every year, because there's no home for them I don't like animal cruelty neither.
I think saying 4 million cats and dogs are killed every year is, plain and simple, a way of getting the wrong picture in people's heads. We put them to sleep. It's humane. Yes, we do take their lives but when people hear the word "kill", they picture the worst of things, and that's not what we do. Secondly, I rather have those animals be euthanized than in a cage constantly or in danger in the streets. People will not always follow suit and get their dogs and cats neutured so this is the only logical thing to do. It's sad, yes, but the way people say it, it's like putting guilt in people. Not everyone is capable of having pets, otherwise we wouldn't have this situation because only responsible people neutur their pets and if not, they always ALWAYS find homes for their offspring. But whatever. If everyone knew how to take care of animals, we wouldn't be in this situation! As far the original post, I heard about this on the news. It's tragic and horrible. I hope they find out who did it and bring those people to justice. If you can't treat animals well, then what the hell makes people think they can treat people any better?
my english teacher said the other day that when he was young, he worked at some dog shelter or something and if there were too many, they had to kill the dogs with a gun :/ my teacher said he quit on the 3rd day because when asked to he couldn't do it.
In my opinion, if you put an animal to sleep, you still kill it. 1. to deprive of life in any manner; cause the death of; slay. If you put an animal to sleep, you cause his death.
That was when he was young. There would be many many huge uproars if people found out that they still did that. and there are certain animal shelters that don't put any of their animals to sleep. One of my friends works for an animal shelter, and she adopts about 5 animals at a time, until new homes can be found for them. but I agree, people should neuter their animals, and a pet should never be given as a present, unless the person has asked for one, and you know they know how to look after it properly.
Oh yes, I agree 100% on the gift thing. That's why during easter bunnies and chickens go into shelters so much. yes, they are cute and adorable you want to squeeze the cake out of them when they are babies, but they grow up. People don't know OR people really just don't care. People can be quite selfish.

I am completely against animal cruelty. I cannot believe people would do that. I mean there's enough cruelty in this world, and they take it out against animals in so many ways. I mean dog-fighting, the chicken industry, animal testing, the wool & fur industry, animal abuse, and just so much more I could possibly name. All of it is wrong and some people ARE just unkind and ABUSIVE and WRONG. I just don't have enough space to write out all the feelings I have for those poor animals how we are JUST LIKE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM and yet .. they are abused. They can't speak for themselves. Humans, we are such terrible things. Really. Ugh .. depressed. Well, keep fighting for animal rights! FIGHT!
did you know that each year $300 million dollars are taken from us thru taxes--not to build schools or improve our education but to kill the animals that are not spayed or neutered because no one can afford it or adopt the animals? I had to post that. It drives me mad .. we humans are such dreadful things. Ugh ><
