I just saw this in the news today, thought I would share incase you all havnt heard I called the recal info line and they said it is only for wet food and there is a HUGE list of companies so you better check. the food is causing kidney failures in pets. Here is the website so you can check if your food is on there, there are 2 lists under dog and cat information http://www.menufoods.com/recall/index.html Post your thoughts if you want Personally I was very scared because the food brand I feed my cat was on there. But luckily she gets the dry food[/url]
Wow...that's really tough. I always feel so bad for pets because they don't know what's going on, so when they start to feel bad they can't understand why, and they look so sad. Hopefully the people who it affects get informed.
My cat has been acting weird, and one of the food products we feed it, are on that list.. thanks for the heads up.
I hope your cat is ok Xiaoset. My cats get food from the list as well but thankfully they only get dry. I would freak if any of my kitties got sick.
That sucks. Not only is it our food but our pets food too. Someone is trying to poison us all
I just looked at the newspaper today and there was an article about someone from a town near me who's dog died because of bad food.
Its the ingrediants they use. The certain ingrediant that they found to be the cause of the illnesses is only used in their wet food and in regards to the post that said how sad it was that not only is it our food but our pets food too. Well, that will happen much more in the future. Thats what we as humans get for mass producing everything. Want to help? Buy more products from companies that are locally owned and operated. thats my little rant
I think it was a great rant, it's true and we're endangering both our health, and the health of the pets we're responsible for all for greed and haste.
punkeydew, I think that would be a great idea! Not that it work for me because I live in a small town, but otherwise ya, great idea.
hehe I try to buy as local as I can, and I do alot of gardening. about 1/2 of my veggies and.. 1/4 of my fruits are from my own organic garden. I'm sick of hearing about ecoli and salmonella all over the news. And now the pet food... that has gone TOO FAR!
Re: hehe Unfortunatly, South Florida has very bad gardening weather, but I do the best I can to purchase things locally, that were not mass produced.
I know, one of my friends is a vegitarian, an she ate some e-coli spinich and almost died. Luckly, her mom called 911 in time.
i heard on the radio this morning that someone in waterloo, ontario, canada is suing them for 35million...the company is pretty close to my house like 30min walk...5 min car drive...glad i dont buy from there
