what pausing after a restock does when you abing? it seems like all it does it let all the items get bought so you don't get anything... It doesn't seem like it makes you look any more human because a normal legit restocker wouldn't wait a minute before attempting to buy an item they would just go straight for the item so it seems like it is a counter productive setting... i guess though until i figure out how it makes you look more legit i'm gonna leave it on so i don't get my accounts frozen xD

You have to wait 5secs after buying a item to buy another so that's probably why.

Well I guess you have AU or something? cause obviously the setting makes sense in Igloo Auto buyers. Hard to say to be honest, many times when I was semi-legit stocking and got something big I would pause in awe of my awesomeness and check tp for a price as well as instantly sdb :D.

For mainshop Autobuyers after a successful purchase you need to wait at least 5 seconds anyway and in many shops that would be too long to get anything fantastic anyways. Obviously a bit different when your in pharmacy and the like where you want 2+ items every restock, but like I said the AB I use doesn't pause after a restock

Yeah, if I restock something, I usually also do pause after. I always have another tab opened with the TP so I could check how much my item is worth. There are also people who put their items in a trade immediately or deposit them.

Okay, let's do the quick ground-course in pausing:

    Time-based pausing:
    a. After every _0 minutes, pause for _0 minutes: this does help you to seem more human. Kind of like if you've been restocking for around an hour, you may take a break to go to the toilet, grab a drink, do something else on the internet, etc.
    b. After every __ seconds, pause for __ seconds: this doesn't actually do anything in my mind, and I think this is what you were referring to when you say it makes it counterproductive.

    After restock pausing:
Pretty logical, as stocks generally won't restock straight after they've just restocked. Makes you seem more human, again.

    Stop after __0 minutes:
The most necessary part of an autobuyer. No one can restock for 20 hours in a row.. well they can.. but, they'll probably get frozen after the first ten. ANYWAY, makes you seem more human, because TNT will note that you have a limit as to how many hours you can restock for, instead of being a mindless robot ie. an autobuyer.

yes i understand pausing after buying an item but i don't understand pausing after the shop itself restocks... i mean when a shop restocks you're going to immediately have rs'ers and ab'ers trying for the same items and if you pause for a minute once the shop restocks it seems like you're gonna miss all the profitable items

It pauses after the shop restocks and all the profitable items are gone.

ok but why does it pause? isn't the point of abing to get profitable items? so if you pause for a minute and miss all the profitable items then isn't pausing after a shop restocks a counterproductive setting?

It checks for profitable items first. When there aren't any matches, it pauses since another restock won't happen for awhile.

Well if it paused as soon as it restocked, it wouldn't be able to make any purchases.
