Hey guys, I've been using (successfully) sLAUGHTER's old SSer, and I downloaded the 290 beta build when Lightning posted it on the level III chat. But, I couldn't get it to work. Once it was released publicly, I tried again, and had the same problem! It doesn't look right :back: I don't see the bottom right of the program, and in their respective tabs - save log, clear log, status bar, minimize or close I can't see them! I now realize that I shoulda screenied this on a black background instead of the folder, but this is what I see. I can still send scores, but I would like to see this info please help me? Also, how much does this one lag? On a 5:30 game, my watch got to five minutes about 10 seconds before the SSer did. I was hoping to use this on a pretty big scale, so I wanna know if this lags! I use Vista, I imagine that's important to note.
I dont know how to fix the page cut off thing - However I tried using it for a larger scale thing and the list feature wouldn't work... Mine shows up full screen? Try re-installing it?
Ok, this is why it is still a beta, because it has problems with XP. What operating system are you guys running on?
Richy** is running it on Vista *prods the bottom of his post* And so am I Vista 64bit On a side note... Are you aware you +repped me? For helping with both your problems? Did you give rep to the wrong person or am I just unaware how I helped
* richy is using Vista, not Shawn Yeah, I +rep'd you for both problems because you tried to solve both problems. While reinstalling it didn't help all that much, it was good to have someone tell me that loading a list doesn't work, because it means I won't do all my planning for large-scale projects without further testing!
Ooooh sorry.. I'm trying to get Heyas GM AB'er to work and Shawn has a guide so I'm switching between topics And okay.. It's like the canvas for the program is smaller than the actual image size... If the screen shot is the ACTUAL size then its alot bigger than mine shows... It's like you've zoomed in the program some how. Try right clicking the program .exe file. > go into properties > check to see how its set to run? Normal window, Maximized window, minimized window etc. If none of them work, try going to the compatibility tab, and see if it's got anything selected there that it shouldn't? Other than that, I'm out of ideas...
The .exe file is just called 'ScoreSender', right? If so, I don't see a normal window, maximized window, etc. But, in the compatibility tab, I have unchecked the box that allows you to run it as Windows XP, Windows 95, etc. And nothing else is selected :\
the other bit was nothing - It's only because I have it as a shortcut in my quick links on my toolbar... Just realized I'm sorry Richy... I've got no other suggestions? Run as admin?
Hey richy, if you don't mind, could you show me the properties of your SSer? Also, try installing and registering: PRJCHAMELEON
That's all I've got. I don't know my way around the preferences of a prog, so I might be a bit slow now! What do you want me to run Chameleon with? The SSer?
PRJCHAMELEON is an ocx file...sLAUGHTER used to use it and require it in his old versions of his SSer, but I still have it installed. Try to install it like any other OCX file in the system32 folder.
Junior helped me through installation (moved to system32 folder, regsvr32 prjChameleon.ocx in command prompt) And I got this error
Are you running it as an administrator? "0x80004005 denotes "Access is denied" error. See if running the Regsvr32 command-line from an elevated Command Prompt helps." - http://www.vistax64.com/vista-installat ... 04005.html EDIT: Uuugh.. during my error on posting on a different topic (DOH!!) I then came to post and got Ninja'd I give up... Sorry again.
:nope: my bad, my mistake rendered my previous post useless Anyways, I ran as Admin, have it successfully registered, and I still have the same size for the SSer. I reran gzip.exe, and nothing changed. I didn't bother to fully redownload, but I can, if need be
The download came with three files, a dll file, scoresender.exe, and gzip.exe I reran gzip.exe, thinking it might have been the equivalent of the flare.exe file in his previous versions, and thinking that it might have updated the SSer.
A quick question...I was wondering what settings you had under your resolution settings because your screenshots look different Also, try running it as admin (the SSer)
^^ I can answer that one... I fond that out yesterday 1289 x 800 I beleive - Which is the same as I have my laptop on
