I still watch it sometimes. I'm such a dork, but I really don't enjoy the newer episodes anymore. I had liked it better when they had just the original 150 (correct me if im wrong) pokemons. I mean I do admit some of the new ones are pretty cute, but I still prefer the older days. Speaking of that I think I'm gonna go watch Pokemon now.
Yup, them 150+mew original pokemon were definitely the best. I think it's due to Ash being so weak back then, along with the rest of his pokemon. He knows too much now =[
I stopped watching after the orange island season.. (I think that's the last one I saw?) I agree completely... Not as good as it used to be.. That or I grew out of it!
I actually think it's gotten much better. The female companion easily trumps both Misty and May, and in fact Dawn can be viewed as a second main character and a reason to watch the show all by herself, which I like. I've loved the additions of more pokemon, and at the age of 20 I feel no shame saying I love the show and watch the episodes online as soon as they're uploaded because the show doesn't air in Canada anymore
I think that those people that are older prefer the newer generation because of its superior quality and I guess better "quality" characters and more pokemon. However, those that are younger prefer the older version as they grew up with it and have formed an emotional attachment, which imo is worth alot more than the 450 or whatever it is new pokemon they now have. Old version ftw!
I'm not a fan anymore, but I still have like 3000 pokemon cards in a box somewhere... Does that count for something? >.>
You too eh? XD I think we got scammed on those..! I didn't know what to do with those so I gave them to my 10 year old cousin. The weirdest thing he and his class are total fans of pokemon, after 10 years it seems kids still like it.
+rep for that! Except not really since that just undermines the rep system! Anywho...I have the wikipedia page of the list of Indigo League (originals) episodes bookmarked in my bookmarks banner (Firefox), and just finished watching Go West Young Meowth. (Of which, Meowzie is a b*tch!) I've spent the last month or so (right before AP test, then finals and such) watching Pokemon in the evenings both for nostalgia's sake, and just to relax. ;D
493 + these new ones which are gonna come out... So I just made two pokemon decks... And now I'm battling myself <3 My grass deck just beat my fire/water deck. Got a venusaur early, and it was easy cruisin from there
Love it. The new pokemon, Zoroark, is now my favorite after seeing the trailer for the 13th movie. :maha:
I bought most of the games, and I still watch the new episodes now a days. Only reason I liked the older version was because I watched it when i was maybe 10? 8 years ago im not sure, but I was attached to that. Haha. Btw, anyone notice how Ash always leave his pokemon for something, promise he'll come back for them, and never does? I guess the writer is just too lazy. Lol, like Charizard & Pidgeot. Will we ever see them again? Maybe not.
he still sees Charizard. Pigeot not so much. It's true though, and I'm especially sad about Butterfree, because that's an awesome Pokemon but while I also grew up with the show, I still prefer the new episodes
I used to like it when i was a lot younger, not really followed it recently but i used to adore the games and tv show
Lots of people older than you still do both of those things D= I'm 17, my brother is 22, for example.
