No, I've legit counted in 2-3 seconds before. You just need a good spatial sense. Besides, there are loads of people who guess, just to see what the quickest time that they can get is. I don't think that there's any way that they would freeze you, but then again, TNT has frozen people for the dumbest things. Why not just wait five extra seconds or so every time that the answer is above, like, 40? 15 seconds of your time isn't that much to ask.

Im not certain. But you should be carefull. Make it like you actually counted them and then your fine. if you have 100 potatos for example is hard to believe you counted them in 2 seconds. yeah it's ashame they should raise it =D there is. Neofriends has something like that. but its more detectable i think ?
