You can get a 15-day free trial, but if you don't want to keep premium, I would advise you to call the 1-800 number/e-mail TNT to quit. If you keep it, they will automatically bill you for the first month, after the free trial is over, and you'll have Premium.

you could try the trial. I hate the catch they have tho,

say, you sign up for the trial. you quit neopets. They still bill you!

You just have to call and cancel. How are they supposed to know if you've quit or not?

I've gotten premium on and off since it came out, I'll have it for a few months while I'm playing - then I start to get bored with it, and I cancel. Then when I start playing again, I call them back up and reinstate it.

It's not that difficult. And they don't try to convince you to keep it. They just ask why you want to cancel - and if you tell them that you just aren't playing that much to justify spending the cash - they're like "Okay, well we hope you enjoyed it, and we'd love to have you back if you ever decide to play again" :)
