Mkay, so i've got a few questions about it.

So i hear you can play games all the way back to the PSX on it, but then i hear you can't.
    So witch one is true?

Any common problems know to happen with one?
    Like red rings for xbox?

Better or worse than the 360?

Debating on getting one and just curious of what people think of them.

    All opinions appreciated :D

If you're getting it just to play PSX games, get a PSX on amazon for $20. And a few PSX games (like FF7 and 8) are released on the PSN and playable on the PSP and PS3.
I think the PS3 has less problems such as the 360's red circle, but people complain about the PS3's lack of game titles and how it is behind the 360's graphics.

I felt like getting a PS3 but I ended up getting a PSPGo. The only thing that I don't like is it's battery life which is about four hours and the fact that not all the good games are available to download on PSN.

Actually only the PS3 that was released very early at the beginning {I guess you can call it first gen or 1st batch?} are the ones that can play PS1 and PS2 games. Anything newer can't do that, so the PS3 slim, and even ones that were released this year. Pretty hard to actually get the older PS3 models anymore.

Personally, I love the PS3. I got it when it first came out so mine pretty much did everything, and regardless of problems people had {Mostly with updating}, I never had any problems, and usually when updates go wrong, Sony fixes them right away. By far, I think PS3 is a way better buy than an xbox.

I don't just want it for psx and ps2 games.
I was just curious about it all.

And the newer ones don't play the psx and ps2 games but the older ones do??
That makes no sense if you ask me.

So, Should i get one or nay?

I personally dislike the PS3, xbox 360 is by far way better, even the Wii is more exciting than the ps3.
