There's been a lot of talk about models and actresses lately and how thin is too thin. I'm sure you've all heard it. Kate Moss is trying to sue a magazine over degradation of character after they used her image to showcase the dangers of anorexia. And today an article was posted on Reuter's that commented on a recent survey showing the percentage of the population who thought current models were too thin. Turns out, 81% of online consumers say they're too thin. With Norway, New Zealand, Switzerland and Australia being the countries with the highest number of citizens who claim models are too thin. As high as 94%! The United States has about 89% in agreement. Indians, Vietnamese and Japanese were on the low end, though still the majority agreed that models are too skinny. What do you think?
It's definitely time someone brought up the fact that these models are encouraging young girls and guys to become unhealthily skinny. I couldn't say whether they are going the right way about it, but it's nice to see some action being taken at last. Good luck to those that are trying to make their point.
