I am curioius, Am I the only person who is not limited to the purchase of 1000 stocks a day? It seems since I can remember I am able to purchase 2000 stocks per day. I was wondering if neopets was updated and anyone could do it, or if the fact my account is 6+ years old is a factor.

No, everyone is limited to 1000 stocks a day. Neopets updated the stock Market game about a year ago, so the maximum ammount of stocks you can purchase per day now is 1000.

If you read the first page on the neo stockmarket: stockmarket.phtml

Meet Nigel the Commodity Broker Chia. He will be helping you learn the ins and outs of the Neopets Stock Market. Hopefully you will end up as successful as him :) Currently, there is a limit of 1000 shares per day for all players.

Lol, someone find me a program which timestamps screenshots. I will show you 2 pictures of my purchasing 1000 stocks twice in a day.

Thats how sure I am that I can do it :D

Maybe it's a glitch. Have you tried to buy 2k stocks at one time? Or tried buying 1k more than two times a day?

No, I cannot buy 2k at one time. It has to be done in a gap.

lol, smirnoff maybe you live in a time where when you go on it's just before the next day in neopia so when you buy your stocks, then wait for the gap, and buy again it is already the next day?

No, I even monitor the "Neopian Time" I can buy 2k stocks before the day is through. Then another 2k the next day.

    Apparantly my account rocks :D

The offer still stands. Find me a program which timestamps screenshots, and I will prove it

You can use quickscreencapture and take a screenshot of your whole screen at that time. Just google it and a trial version should be there.

Apparently my accounts suck. I can't buy more than 1k stock on any account.

i don't buy it. if there were a glitch it would affect more than just your account, and any "proof" that you could show could be easily faked.

    Re: maybe..

Not possible. Older accounts don't get special treatment. That would just be unfair. And even if that were that case (which it's not) more than one person would be able to buy 2k stocks.

My accounts are each almost 5 years old and I can only buy 1000 shares a day... on any of my accounts...

so if it's happening... then it's definately the *exception* and not the rule that most of neopeans go by

Fine, I decided to FILM it using Camtasia. I will film myself buying 3k shares over 2 days (showing also the Neopets time) just so I win

It's not worth getting any of your accounts iced.

To show us what you do could compromise your accounts... ie showing stocks that are bought and at what times, not to mention the possiblty of revealing your user account.

My suggestion... let this subject just die.
