First, for people who don't speak Chinese - ç“œ (gua) means "melon." The directions in Chinese are 东 (dong), å— (nan), 西 (xi), 北 (bei), which respectively are east, south, west, and north. 东瓜 = Wintermelon. å—ç“œ = Pumpkin 西瓜 = Watermelon 北瓜 = And 北瓜s got sent to hell, no one knows what they are. (Random discussion with my dad on the car ride home from volunteering at the hospital. I found it funny; maybe you will, maybe you won't, but hey, this is Spam Corner.)
But 北瓜s don't exist anymore! (Or at least not since that one emperor died, went to hell, and the lord/master/ruler of hell decided to send him back to Earth and let him live again, so the emperor sent 北瓜s to hell as a thank you to the lord/master/ruler of hell.)
