i really dont wanna carry around my macbook pro around cause it barely fits in my backpack (15 inches) and its kinda heavy. soooooo can you guys help me find a laptop that has a screen thats 13 inches or smaller thats really thin. The thinness is important because i have a lot of books. and yes ive thought of the macbook but im poor so less than $800 would be nice (a netbook $500 or less would be like perfect) any good suggestions get rep ;) thanks!

I also have a 15" Macbook Pro, and a 9.5" Acer Netbook. Check out Netbooks from Acer, mine was $300 and they were around $200 on Black Friday. (Acer Aspire One)

Air is thin, but VERY costly, and you have to buy so many extras that you have to carry and plug in.

    toshiba satellite t135-s1310
thin and relatively cheap at around 700$. cheaper if you find it on sale. make sure you get dual-core though.

    also...
    acer timeline
again, thin and relatively cheap at 628$ at walmart (http://techwiki.hardwarecanucks.com/pro ... tebook-PC/)
also cheaper if you can find it on sale.

etras, like what? the only extra thing you need is a disk drive
but if you buying a labtop like that, you;ll realize you don't even need a disk drive

^ yeah, but for one thing you pay for value. other computers are dead in like 3-4 years. I've had my mac for like 7-8 years now.
