Ok, so my family is looking for a GPS for our car, and it's been a while, and they finally mentioned it today :)

So I kinda want to find one by the end of the week, at least that's an ideal time for parents :D...and then I went researching. This is what I came up with.

This one has every feature that's needed (at least for Garmin).
    Company: Garmin
    Model: Nuvi 775T
    Cheapest Price Found: $380
Notes: The only thing about this one is its price.

All I'm asking is just to find similar GPS(es) with very close features, and I will +rep. I know there's the 765T which has a few less settings, but if ya'll could check out Tom Tom, and I'm looking for a very "capable" GPS.

garmin nuvi's are actually pretty good. It's the one I have, and I like it. Though they rape you cause you gotta pay for the updates.

If you are looking for a GPS, what is your budget? You can't go wrong with a Garmin Nuvi; you might want to look into a TomTom, or maybe a Magellan. I'd say Garmin Nuvi is your best bet though.

More closely into a TomTom, I'd recommend a:
TomTom GO930T; price is roughly $400, but comes with many sweet features that you would expect from a GPS.

For more information on the GO930T, here's the http://www.tomtom.com/products/product.php?ID=464&Lid=4&Category=0. I personally have the GO930T and I haven't had any problems with it.

I think the Garmin Nuvi 775T is a great model, i got one for my ex gf coz she wanted to get her mom something for her bday and didnt have the cash. I dont kno about the updates and paying for them but feature-wise its def one of the best gps's imo.

Haha, thanks Charlie...I found a site on hacking the security, but could you look into the maps and what not: http://www.haklabs.com/2009/the-2010-ga ... te-hacked/ ?

    +Repped so far btw

PS: How do ya'll think about the differences between Nuvi 775(T) & 765(T). Is it worth the $65-100 difference?

Comparing the Nuvi775t to the 765, the difference you're paying ($65-$100) is that just to have access to European maps? The 775t also comes with other languages too. It really comes down to what you prefer here.
