A griffin and a goblin live on an island. This island has, in total, seven wells numbered from 1-7. These wells are poisoned. If for some reason you drink from a certain well, the only way to survive is to drink from a well with a higher number. Well 7 is found on top of a mountain, which is unscaleable. Only the griffin can reach it. One day they decide that the island isn't big enough for both of them, and they decide to have a once off duel. They both bring a glass of water, exchange glasses, and drink. At the end of the day, the goblin has lived while the griffin has died. Why did the goblin live? And why did the griffin die? If you've heard this one before, don't spoil it for the others. I've reworded it a little from the original riddle. The prize is this is pretty small text isn't it Feel free to ask questions, I'll only respond with yes or no
Im going to have a guess and say: The goblin mixed the waters from the seperate wells and created a number higher then 7, so the griffin died because 7 would not have cured it. Goblin did not die because he drank from well 1 before hand, so well #7 negated the effects. No idea what made the griffin die so i had a guess
well now i know why the goblin lived, so i think the griffin died because the goblin brought water that wasn't poisoned, so the unknowing griffin drank from well 7 and killed himself.
Damn. I was going to guess rainwater, or something. I had to ctrl+scroll like twenty times to read that text.
