Does anyone know if tnt can see your sales history after you clear it? My first answer to this was no, but the bit where they ask people to do it to save room on the neopets servers sparked my interest.
I would have thought so, for an X amount of time anyways. Or how else would they track people selling nps for 99999k ect
i would have presumed yes, but i am unsure i guess they have two serves (well more but simplified this is what i get): one with all the stuff the users can see and another which logs EVERYTHING if you delete it you save space on the former, but would still be there on the latter for a couple of weeks (i am almost convinced they wipe stuff every 2-4 weeks as i don't get chain frozen if i leave my ip untouched for that long and it doesn't change)
Somthing to consider though... i had an account frozen and about 2 months later I sent of a BBB report in . They were still able to quote list the things i they saw as suspicious on my account
i think they clear it.. theres so many neopets players that keeping it would be a huge waste of resources
They probably keep a complete history of the people they have frozen, so they can allways prove you've cheated when you go legal or something..
It would be pretty useful for TNT to be able to see a complete shop history. Many people use the shop to transfer nps from their sides or that they've purchased, so when TNT sees that they've been selling items worth 1 np for 99999 np, they can tell that the person is cheating. Still, the shop is a better alternative to transferring via the trading post or auctions.
They might have, but I don't think you would really be affected unless you were being too obvious in using programs. Personally I think TNT runs cron jobs to delete the logs after a certain period and they wouldn't refer to the files to investigate unless your account was suspected of cheating.
I disagree, i have been selling nps for about two years now, i always offer 800k per lot via the TP and i`v never been frozen for it.
The reason that you don't get iced for this is that they likely have no proof that the np has been sold, so it just looks like a gift. The reason that people get iced is because they get caught transferring between their multi-accounts...since you are giving np to an account that is not yours, then it is not as suspicious and you should not be banned...but I definitely think that the TP is a high risk way to transfer np...*shrugs*
Not necessarily true. Every time I've done sales through TP, I've been iced. Even on clean accounts/IPs. It's always a better idea to do it in lots under 800k.
I think they don't look at the Usershops as much because there are billions of purchases. If you put 99,999 NP, that would be suspicious. But, like 95,000, (I always do that), they haven't caught me yet. I always ice my accounts after a few transfers so my main doesn't get iced.
Man all these posts you guys are posting about being frozen and TNT being really harsh is kind of scary. I really hope I won't get caught. Even though I doubt they go this far in their investigation...
Hmmm, good point. I used to transfer with 99,999 NP (didn't get caught, though) but using other numbers close to 100k seems a better option. Did you get your account frozen due to transferring NP or was it because of other things?
Most of us that are posting are pretty hardcore cheaters. If you don't like being iced, you can take several basic safety precautions: 1. Don't try to cheat on your main, use a side. 2. Don't do dumb things that give TNT a free ice. 3. Use proxies. 4. TNT will do anything to ice you so just be prepared to see the red screen. Most of us get caught for things that are harder to avoid. Multi-accounts, SSing, ABing (refreshing), transferring NP. TNT is locking down even more so that's why we are telling "harsh" stories. It's only gonna get worse.
