Science Fair {Experiment Ideas}

Ya, im in grade 8 and I need some fairly simple ideas for an experiment

 

Run a rat through a maze, and see how long it takes for it to get to the food the first time, then do it again and see how long it takes. It's a pretty standard experiment, but it will test the ability of the rat to learn. If you wanted to extend the experiment a bit, you could either - a) Do the same tests with a mouse (they are not as intelligent as rats) or b) make another maze and use the same rat and see how long it takes to go through the new maze (this is testing its ability to carry forth old skills in a new context) Hope this helps

 

or maby make a circut board of some sort? welll, that's more of a project.

for science class, we had to make a model of an animal cell. I built a box, and in in contained all the circut work. on tthe outside, i used clay to make the cell. i ran ligh bulbs up through the boxn adn added a circut board on the side.

so when it was done, you flicked the switch, and that part of the cell would light up.

I got like, 120% on it.

Who dosn't? Almost all my friends from other schools have them, sometimes starting in grade 5.

mine started in 4th grade.

test the DNA content in various fruits. got my sister first place

 

I remember when i did science fair, my thing was REALLY bad =/ I dont even remember what was so special about it

Someone did a really cool experiment where they fed one group of rats with proper food, and another group with cheetos, and guess which rats were looking wild and mad at the fair? x___X

 

My first was in grade 3, I made a volcano with my dad =P

 

Wicked! How'd you do that? Or Joe you could make the experiment with mentos and coke.

 

My dad made the exterior, all I did was put baking powder in it, put a lid on it, took it to school and poured vinegar in when people wanted to see(and refilled when soda ran out)

 

Oh I see, that's kinda cool. Anyways we do lots of chem experiments in school, like making silver/mirrors by shaking some chemicals in a flask and stuff like that, it's fun.

 

XD, I made a bumpy mirror (The ones that make you seem deformed) once in Physics.

Maybe Joe can do the experiment I did in grade 3 =P

 

mentos and coke? omfg! we tried that in september... while INSIDE the save-easy... We got owned by the manager..
