Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't search do it? Start> search>all files adn folders>a word or phrase in the file>bingo

    Assuming you have Windows XP.

    o_O.

I know vista will search the files for the needed phrase.

Anyway Mikie its not had to do with VB6.

    Just do something like.

Load all the files in the folder to a listbox and run a loop loading each file into a textbox and use InStr?

Windows can search the by filename or by content.
Type in what you're looking for and it'll find it !

The window's content search feature, is shit. Doesn't work at all, i tried it with just one text file and it didn't work.
Anyways found a program and it's called "Super Text Search".
