Lets suppose i got a cheating acc which makes nps and another side acc. Now my side acc makes a lot in the trading post and my cheating acc bids on it. After that my cheating acc gets iced, my side acc doesn't. Can my side acc still accept the offer or will it get withdrawn automatically?
Oh that's a good question and I would like to see this answered I do know that if you gift items, then freeze the account that sent the items before you accept the items on the account they were sent to, that you can still accept the items from the iced account, they will sit there the normal 48hr period.
I dont think so. I mean, you can't accept an item and get an item from an account that isn't there. So I would say no :]
Well.. the account is still there isn't it? Or does frozen mean that it is completly gone? It would be great if someone could test this (or already has)
Actually now that I think about it more Freja is right. For a trade to occur the account must put the trade up, then the other account must bid on it. Then that first account must accept the offer for the transaction to take place. Also I know from experience of my friends that if you're iced all your trades, aucitons, notice board ads, posts, and anything else that was your account is gone. It's still somewhere in TNT's databases, but as far as the public and other users know/see it's all gone.
Thats what I was thinking. Once the account is frozen, technically all the things that belonged to that account will dissappear.
i'm pretty sure you can still accept the offer. same with sent items. however item auctions from an iced account will be canceled, all bidders lose bidded nps and get no item, or so i've heard.. easy to test this out by self-icing a junk newbie account..
Been there done that you can still accept the items within the 48hours as normal but trades and auctions wont work but I am unsure about those last two. All I know is that I was sending items to a side the next day I was iced but my side was all good and I was still able to accept the items. I was so happy this happened a while back though unless they changed things around :|
False. All sent items that have not been accepted when the account is frozen disappear. The same goes for trades.
I have found first hand that items sent from an account to another and then self frozen can still be accepted by the second account. I do not know if that is the case with accounts frozen by TNT though.
Hmm so I was just lucky? Maybe where the side account wasn't linked to the other account maybe that could of had something to do with it , all I know is now im confused lol
From what I've been told, IT IS possible to still accept it. Its actually a technique somewhere, that if you get an extremely rare item, you put it in trade with your other (unlinked!) account and wait to see if you get iced. However, I cannot gaurentee this..
It would basically be like trading with TNT or nothing, I think...because the iced account can't do anything. I thought that when the account is iced, every thing that the account has active that reaches to the outside world of Neopets is shut down. So, wouldn't trades, auctions, gifts, etc. all disappear?
