Making flash movies, would require macromedia flash. So yeah, if you have photoshop than you could try to make it in imageready. I've heard there are some video converters that will convert gif images into flash movies.. But i know of none.

there's a number that can turn them into flash, but all I know are commercial. The one that comes to mind is coffeecup firestarter.

Personally, I just use flash. it's worth learning... besides, a flash scripter can make real $$'s

It retails for $699 US, but I get my upgrades for around $200. Considering I can sell one animation and make that back in a couple of hours, it's worth the cost.

    Re:

by that, they mean you can probably download all of macromedia's software (flash, for instance) by using a torrent program, such as utorrent. essentially what happens is you download a torrent file from a website, and instead of downloading what you want from one person, you download a bunch of pieces of the file from a bunch of different people and wind up with the whole file in the end. legality was still a bit of an issue the last time i read up on the program, but it's a great way to download large files, or mass download. i used it to get all the sims games once. as with all downloads, though, you have to worry about viruses and such, and realize that you're still infringing upon copyright laws.

    Re: Re:

And since using a cracked program would be "evil," this is probably not the route you'd want to go. There are plenty of animation programs that create GIFs, though, such as Adobe Imageready. Nothing but Macromedia programs can create Flash animations, though.
