This realy depends on the situation which the skateboarding is done in. A sport is defined as a competition between two or more people. If they are in some sort of a competition then, yes it is a sport. Howevor, if they are just skateboarding randomly then it is not a sport. Either way I voted yes, because it certainly has the possibility of being considered a sport.
depends on how people look at it. but in reality it is now yet a sport... maybe in 1 to 3 years it will become sport..
its on tv all the time and they have x games.. its on espn thats a sport channel so how could it not be a sport
Agreeing with what Zapno said, it all depends on the situation. If it's in a competition, then I would consider it a sport. If you're just riding around on a skateboard for the hell of it, then I'd say no. It's the same deal with bicycling, really. I would sure as hell consider the Tour de France to be a sporting event, but I wouldn't say that I'm doing a sport when I'm just riding my bike around with some friends. So it can be...it's just situational.
So crystal meth and speed are sports? I get a rush off playing neopets or chess. Kidding. I know what you meant. But I DO get a rush off a good restock. I think skateboarding is a sport. It takes skills, athleticism and practice.
so football is only a sport when playing a game? but in the backyard just throwing the ball around isnt? its the same exact thing, otherwise they would have different names lol
Well if you're outside just throwing the football around you're not playing football...you're just playing catch. Playing catch isn't a sport. At least, in my opinion it isn't.
yes -takes mental strength to pull off tricks -takes physical strength to do the tricks -its competitive
