no, this isnt god or evolution; how do you think the universe came to be and where do you think it's going?

think that we all came from some bang?
do you think there will be a super black hole that'll suck everything up? think space will rip all matter apart(kinda the exact opposite of black holes)? what's your views on this

I think a group of scientists in another Universe managed to get enough knowledge about their Universe that they were able to create our in a single of their atoms. And that we're going to do the same one day.
Either that or our Universe being just an atom in a different Universe for no special reason.

Maybe we are just a computer game, controlled by aliens.

But I think the big bang.

Ahaha, if we are a big video game, they must hate me :arf:

But I would have to say I believe in God creating the earth.

    Maybe google created the Univers.
Or Apple. IWorld, now that would be something I wouldn't hesitate to buy.

I'm actually more for the theory that if you go close enough into an atom, you'll see a Universe. Just like ours would be an atom of some other dimension, and that this would be like a loop-thingy.
What's outside the 'loop' then? Nothing, as the 'loop' is all.

I think we were all created 8 minutes ago with implanted visions of past memories and thought patterns. Try and dispute that o_O

PS-Now I'll be killed because I have found out the secret of life.

Well anything is possible thats not what I truly think just food for thought. I personally believe that God created everything but as I was discussing with one of my Atheist friends he gave me that interesting thought and I thought it was cool so I shared it.

I'd be so pissed if I was in some sort of...fake world.
Many people like to wonder how the world came....as we live in it, I'm more interested in what happens when we leave it (when we die).

according to current theories, space is expanding faster than the speed of light >.> meaning  stuff waaaay out there at the edge of our sight is slowly disappearing. (kinda like we're slowly going blind)

:arf: so they've successfully proven that they cant find the center of the universe.

You know, recent research shows that the universe isn't expanding more slowly the whole time, but faster. So it's getting bigger and bigger, faster and faster.

Just thought I'd share this in this thread.

yep, (you mean it has a positive acceleration) but the space that has a sufficient amount of gravity will not expand, and (with enough gravity) shrink!

That's the weird thing. There seems to be some kind of anti-gravity, which makes it expand more and more. It simply won't shrink if it goed on this way.

    Magnetism? Just a though.
But since magnetism is such a big power, couldn't it be a possible explanation?

yep, i asked my astro teacher if, maybe, space had some "charge" that only interacted w/ dark matter (the stuff that has mass, yet doesnt interact w/ anything) and dark mater = opposite charge of space

(if you think about it, it's wierd how electrons only interact w/ protons, when it could interact w/ space and dark matter and w/e else there is floating around)

oh, and then the teacher said "gotta go to department meeting; ttyl" -.-'

Man, what a weak reply of that teacher..

You have a good point there though.
