I'm reluctantly running a 3mile Turkey Trot...would rather sleep in but it's only 3 miles I guess. After that we go to my Grandmother's and have a nice feast with my family. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pies, etc. Then the next day we will be running out early for the "Black Friday" morning deals. Hehe, some stores have some cool, cheap stuff. So what are you guys doing on your Thanksgiving??
Thanksgiving I get to spend with my entire family and submit my boyfriend to the torture as well. 0_o We'll be drinking quite a bit of wine though so we should be able to make it through. The day after I'm spending with my extended family, Aunts & Uncles, having steak & again more wine. I already had Thanksgiving at his house on Sunday & drank some beer there as well.
Eating at my moms house with my brother and sisters, I will probably head to best buy and stay up for black Friday. They usually have amazing deals there. I got a projector, surround sound, and a laptop for under $1000 last year. I turned my garage into a home theater, its awesome.
Thanksgiving passed in Canada. But we never celebrate it anyhow. Probably cuz we're asian. Does anyone actually have those HUGEEE Turkey dinner? I'm so jealous :/
I thought everyone has huge thanksgiving dinners? Since there will be like 20 people all eating together this year (multiple families) I think we are also going to have prime rib in addition to turkey
When I was a kid i used to have like 50+ people over for thanksgiving, now its only like 20 people and i dont see it as big, i guess compared to when i was a child. We always gathered all the family for thanksgiving and christmas time.
Nah, we don't celebrate thanksgiving here, we have some other weird rituals instead. What's this Black Friday I keep hearing about?
 Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving when Christmas shopping really starts. Stores put huge sales on some stuff to encourage people to come in and buy buy buy. I've never personally gone shopping on it, but supposedly stuff gets really crazy with people like racing to buy the last of something. It's really just a tribute to material American culture. You're better off without it .
This year the advertising of Black Friday has been off the charts (at least where I live). I guess it has to do with the fact that the economy isn't doing so well, so retail stores really have to push their sales
Sounds fun guys!! Thanksgiving is the most "family-oriented" holiday, and it seems like everybody is celebrating with their family...have fun!!
Seems like everyone got plans with the family & stuff. For Thanksgiving, I'm spending it with my family (of course) and then early on Black Friday, my family and I have to leave to Erie for a wedding. ( My mother's friend is getting married ) I'm really excited for this wedding too.
Oooooh, a wedding on Friday, that sounds like fun. Have a feast Thursday then the next day have another feast/celebration! Have fun!
I use to run the Turkey Trot in my town. I would win every year and got to bring home a trophy, ribbon, and of course a turkey! For Thanksgiving I am going to my fiance's family dinner. We made a chocolate leaf cake for the occasion. I do hope it tastes yummy.
