So i've been using MSN 8.0 some build for a long time, and right now, I refuse to upgrade to Windows Live 9, because they disabled so that you can't set a certain hex color for your chat windows {dont exactly like their backgrounds} and I don't like the DP on the left side. To be honest, I am a VERY conservative person when it comes to stuff like this. I've been using MSN like this for a long time and I like it this way, I don't want to change it. Heck i've used it when they first came out, which was what is called "windows messenger" now. Anyways, my question is, is it possible to "save" my current copy of MSN {rename the folder or something} and then install MSN 9? And if I can't find a tweak patch for it, I can easily revert back to my current copy? I just don't want to over wipe this version just in case I can't find an installation file for it anymore. My friend says she can't get rid of her copy of MSN 9; It won't let her uninstall it even though I looked up a few solutions for her on google. But i'm guessing you can't. I can't possibly find a solution. If anyone knows something, do let me know
I'm pretty sure you can install into another folder without overwriting the other one. Has your friend tried deleting from the registry? Or else, you can always try this uninstaller here. This uninstaller is Microsoft's own uninstaller, different from the add and remove programs thing. It uninstalls pretty much everything when all fails at the control panel
