that really is very interesting
i zap my pet and the changes in stats(apart from the defence which normally goes up) is definately consistant with my results

 

I personally hate the labray

 

Why would you hate it?

 

Probably killed his stats on a trained pet, or never got it to the right species.

 

probably but you are always going to have that risk with an unpredictable device

 

I have read through that page and I have found the same when I have used it for a while on the same pet - everything goes up quite a bit with the exception of defence, although I tend to have pretty bad luck with level too :/

I think this happens for a reason - it means that if you get a decent colour/species combo that you want to keep, your stats can be so uneven that it would cost you tons to even it out in the training schools. So you have to choose between stats and colour/species. Also, by keeping the defence down, those zapping purely for a BD pet still have to train as well if they want a good all round fighter.

I suppose if there really were no downsides for people going for stats, no one would use the training schools

 

Because of two things, I wanted my poogle MSP, turned it to a gelert. Then I wanted my draik robot, turned it into a stupid ass lutari =/

Ah, but codestones and dubloons deflating would be bad seeing as that's what I snipe with the SSW and I have tons of the things in my SDB

 

Yeah that was a good read. Defense and Level don't benefit from it though.
