Recently i am using McAfee and it got expired, I have AVG virus protection always on and windows XP firewall enabled. Why do I still get infected with some Trojan horses? I check for updates every day so I am sure I am up to date. Can anyone tell me the best antivirus of 2010.. There are so many on net so it made me confused and drag me here to ask in the forum..

I used to run Nortans - Then I randomly found out about a free one called Avast Anti-Virus. I ran that and it found some that Nortans didn't. And I ALWAYS updated my anti-virus.

So - My point here is I don't think there are any 100% full proof Anti-Viruses. I'd recommend getting a few free ones on-top of whatever you do eventually buy just as some added back-up. And you never know, might actually find something your others wont.

I was just thinking about New Anti-Virus software for 2010 myself so hopefully someone posts some good suggestions :p

Avast! is free and decent. I don't know about the ones that cost money, since I'm cheap and I know I'll have issues no matter what anyway. AVG sucks hardcore.

I am going to third this mention, NOD32 all the way. Lightweight, and most of all, not annoying. (like 90% of antivirus in existence)

ESET NOD32 best I've used. McAffee and Norton use too much resources while performing scans and lags your comp.

Use Avast. It's a very simple but high end internet security device. Go to the website and see for yourself. It's good on the updates and it talks to you when it detects anything wrong with your pc

Avira Antivir has the highest detection rate to this day, although it has a bad false positive meaning it detects programs even though they may not even be viruses. Either than that ESET NOD32 is fantastic. Norton is terrible, I don't even know why it costs money seeing as AVG free version is better lol. Hope I helped.
