Has anybody sorted out how to sync an iPhone with a different computer without erasing everything already on the device and care to share the secret? I can't for the life of me figure out what I need to do and the Apple site doesn't seem to be of any help either...

I synced my phone to a freshly reformatted computer no problems o.o? And I did my mates to mine...

Can't you sync to like 5 without a problem?

Iphone also resets when you connect to another pc.

Never found a way to avoid it, so I try to always connect my Iphone to the same computer

Yea, I think either you just gotta keep syncing with your main computer...and make sure you don't have automatic syncing for a different computer...

I still can't get it to let me edit music etc on my laptop. This is going to be a big issue pretty soon when I simply won't have my desktop around for about 7 months...

If you want to transfer music files on your iPhone to your computer/laptop, use SharePod, its free and works for me.

iTunes only allow you to sync files from your computer onto your apple devices, not the other way around. The TS wants a way to transfer files from his phone onto his computer, so he can update his music library without having to either redownload all the songs, or sync a new library in.
