Just went to go see it with my other half cuz I was forced to watch Gay Moon or whatever it's called(I know I'll get some heat about this but w/e the movie was gay) friday night. I thought that blindside was an awesome movie and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.
Haven't even heard of it.. Whats it about?? Genre etc. I can look it up if I have too.. but I'd rather a short version As for new moon... My partner went to see it.. just learn to say no I didn't wanna go so I didn't. Easy.
It's the true story about Michael Oher who's a NFL lineman. Without going to much into it it basically shows how he became a football player and the things he went through in his life. It's your typical; guy has a crappy life, someone comes along and gives him a shot, he changes and becomes something he would never have been otherwise kinda movies. The story was amazing though. It has the right amount of sportiness and drama to be a good movie in my mind. *PS* I had to go it was a group date -_-
Ouch on group date.. So its not a documentary... but sort of like the 8mile movie with eminem... a dramatic based on a true story kind of movie... Appart from me not knowing who that NFL star is... those movies are usually good
Yep that's pretty much the genre of movie. I didn't really know much about him either other than the team he played for before the movie came out. Even now I don't know much about him as a player
At the end of the movie when it showed the pictures of the real family it made me want to cry. It was a pretty good movie though.
I got a bit teary eyed but all the girls in our group were balling when they actually showed the real him getting his contract and hugging his "mama".
the movie itself was really good but when they had the pictures of the real michael oher during the credits the movie instantly became 10 times better because it actually showed you that the story was real. [edit] sorrysorrysorrysorry...gravedigging? sorry!
The best part of those kinds of movies is the overriding fact that they are a true story and the events happening in the movie actually happened to someone beyond the screen.
