From today's news.... Site Update - Over the next few days, the Code Myncis will be migrating all account information, like usernames and such, over to a fancy new system they built. They're really jazzed about it, but that unfortunately means some slowness and downtime for the site overall, so we wanted to give you a heads up and let you know what to expect once they're done: * Usernames and passwords will work on both Neopets.com and PetpetPark.com. (They already do, but this is better.) * During this time, you may not be able to update your account data on the site, including your password. (There will be an error message instead.) * Our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy will have changed! You will see a message to accept the new versions the next time you log in after the maintenance is over. * Registration will be down for a bit during this time so you will not be able to create new accounts. * We need to fill in missing data in the new system, so you may be asked to update your email address (or your parents email address), your country, and your state information. We hope to keep the downtime as short as possible, but please be patient with us during the maintenance! On another note - also from today's news - Draiks can now be painted Chocolate! Woohoo! What's this? Another Chocolate Neopet has appeared? Apparently your pleas were heard. Introducing... the Chocolate Draik!

Re: Neo downtime coming up I'm assuming this refers to the account purge As for other stuff... as long as it doesn't have anything to do with stopping programs I'll be happy I don't like the idea of having to update contact information though. That is bad for accounts I've purchased o.o

Re: Neo downtime coming up I think it will be happening over the next few days - I don't think it is going to be down for a specific period of time, just sporadically on and off. I could be totally wrong tho... And I dunno if it is the purge - I think more likely they might be doing something to deter the CG'ers - or at least I hope so

Re: Neo downtime coming up I agree with you Junior xD but who knows.. having to update information might be a good thing.. any account you have bought, it may be possible to make the information Legit to you... you know? if you need to update an email and you don't want to, i know a few temp email sites that work with Neo =)
Re: Neo downtime coming up Yea, well from experience, I know it is not hard to fake having multiple siblings that play neo--especially when you do/actually did have siblings that played it. Either way I hope these changes are good instead of bad. lol
Re: Neo downtime coming up Has anyone noticed anything different about Neo since this announcement? I haven't had any issue so far with regards to logging in and what not I did get an error message on a page yesterday with the Red Pteri - don't remember what page it was tho :/
