Do you guys ever look back on your life and just say "Ah......the good ol days". I know I do it all the time. It seems like life was so much more fun and easier when I was younger. Now I'm practically like a senior citizen (15) and I just sometimes, wish it was 1999 again. So here's the topic: What do you guys miss? I miss playing Pokemon with my friends, and always winning. I miss the first 150 pokemon. Forget you ~*Turtwig*~ I miss climbing in the little tubey things in chuck e cheese. I miss chuck e cheese. I miss being skinny and being able to play sports. I miss when everyone was nice to everyone. I miss George Bush (JK!)
You know what I miss? Being really little and (not many people cared about tech too) being able to play in those HUGE (dirty but HUGE) ball pits. /sigh
I miss not having to worry about grades/test/class rank/shit and the results of my procrastination. And I miss nap time.
I always loved to sleep. Everyone else was like EWWWW naptime! and I was just like. Sweet...... But our schools didn't start naptime for the kindergardners until the year I was in 1st grade. Sucks, huh?
I was always the one awake and sitting up at naptime, and just bored laying there. Now I wish I could go back xD
I just realized, I'll be driving soon. Eek, that's kind of a scary/exciting feeling. That means in 3 years I'll be REALLLY old. Like....ancient. I miss shopping at Gap
I miss all my high school friends and the desire to know what you will be in the future... the ambitciousness of you and everyone around you .
ZOMG i just got my permit like 3 days ago and i've already almost killed 2 people xD lol so i miss not having to worry about killing people xD not having to worry about stupid sports, i've gotta uphold a legacy of great vaulters for our school and i'm gonna have the most experience next year so i've got just a tad bit of pressure xD Stupid oral presentations in american lit not worrying about trying to avoid calculus xD not having to worry about shit xD not having my friends practically throwing themselves at my feet and not listening to me when i tell them i'm not gonna go out with them... i know it's most guys dream, but not right now, i don't have time for relationships xD anything else that involves being a kid xD infact i used up my like hour of free time browsing nf xD no back to french/chem/am lit/history/precalc... does somebody wanna shoot me? ooo and one last thing, i miss pokemon not being satanic Just take a look, i dare you
I got my permit too!...like a week ago....even though I'm already 17...what can I say....I tend to procrastinate at life and I have successfully killed 0 people
lol i just turned 15 1/2 like a week ago xD do you think they would jail me for life if i do end up running over somebody xD cuz when i'm leaving track there's a ton of people who like run out into the middle of the road and i sometimes don't see them... and let's just say my coach wouldn't be happy if i killed some of my teammates xD
I really miss how you didn't care about what other people thought of you, and how you could just play outside all day long - and didn't know there was a future with looots of school and worries lying ahead of you .__.
Reading everyone's stuff they miss is making me really sentimental. =( I miss when all the kids were nice to each other and no one cared about race or gender or anything, and everyone could just all go play tag together on the playground while teachers yelled at you to stop running/stop climbing on equipment. I also miss the original Pokemon, and Cheeto, Bulbasaur was totally my favorite starter in the original!!! I miss not having to spend a ton of time practicing instruments and doing homework (lazypando, I definitely second you on procrastination =P), and just being able to mess around and go play kickball, freeze tag, capture the flag, etc., with the kids in my neighborhood. And as of a few weeks ago, I can now go get my permit, but I haven't yet, either. So people killed count is zero. Being small was fun. And those tube things at McDonald's play places and such were awesome. =D
Sometimes I miss not having to budget my money...mostly just for food...when I was a kid I just ate whatever was around whenever I wanted. My parents kept everything stocked nicely and dealt with the money and stuff so I never thought about it. Now that I'm living on my own, budgeting is a pain -_-. Other than that, I don't really miss anything. I miss some of my old friends. I still play the original pokemon, it was the only one worth getting into IMO (never got into the show past the original either) I don't play nearly as many video games as I used to, but I don't really miss it because I have just as much fun doing the things I do now. I dunno, I thought I'd have more things to miss, but I don't
http://www.landoverbaptist.org/news1099/pokemon.html That's another good tirade on Pokémon. I don't really miss anything, but this whole nostalgic thread thing has got me thinking about Crazy Bones, POGs, monkey bars and discussing medieval forms of torture without being in some kind of class on the subject. Seriously, how did I ever "outgrow" that stuff?
i remember falling for those horrible neopets scams and flp's when i was younger and use to get frozen on a daily basis. i remember pokemon i couldnt wait for the pokerap. I remember watching DBZ everyday after school with my friends and playing out side until bedtime. I really mis being a kid now i have way too much responsibilities . sigh
I miss not worrying how high my electric bill will be, and when I didn't care if there are dishes in the sink and there's been a reciept on th floor for 2 days. I miss sleeping in past 7ammore than once a week. And I miss not having to do my own laundry.
I remember sitting at lunch and playing Pokemon Crystal with all my friends. I lost Pokemon Crystal and it's like.......impossible to find.
Aww, the Pokerap! I remember that, it was awesome...when I was 4 or 5 I tried to memorize it and always sang along when it came on on Kids' WB. And I'd get up early on weekends just to watch Pokemon all morning...the original show actually had good (if cheesy) morals!
I personally miss just sitting around in the street playing games and going on 'adventures' through the woods with my neighbors. :x
